“Patient of One” Vision at Scale

COVID-19 pandemic has been a wake-up call for European Healthcare and Life Science industries. Healthcare systems that are showing greater resilience are those that have been investing in enhancing their capabilities to rapidly use information to automate processes support decisions and to empower users.

While the near term has been focused on “crisis management”, the healthcare sector next normal will see an acceleration of investments to create patient value-led organizations that are resilient and innovative at the same time.

Digital patient services, telemedicine, clinical decision support, and population health management will be essential tools to weather healthcare complexity and uncertainty in the coming years. Successful digital strategies will rely on greater information and process interoperability, security and trust, collaboration, operational automation, and intelligent patient management capabilities.

During the IDC European Healthcare Executive Digital Forum 2020, we looked at how healthcare organizations increase their focus on these areas enabling a true “patient of one” vision with new integrated and personalized care delivery models that aim for superior clinical outcomes and patient experiences.
