SAS Podcast

In this podcasts series we discuss various aspects of IoT and AI with a number of SAS experts. The IoT market is entering a new maturity phase, where customers are looking at scaling some of the isolated IoT projects they have deployed until now. According to IDC's latest survey across European IoT decision makers (October
2020), 50% of European organizations are already deploying IoT and plan to extend their deployments. And a further 39% plan to launch in the next 12-24 months. However, despite IoT being widely adopted by organizations, nearly a quarter of them admit that IoT data analytics is one top challenge for them at the moment, and in fact we still find a considerable proportion of orgs who do not analyze the IoT data they collect in a meaningful way. During these podcasts we examine the reasons for organizations NOT analyzing their IoT data, and how organizations like SAS can help them understand and manage the data lifecycle, democratizing analytics. Finally, we also take a look at the operational problems manufacturing customers face today and how IoT and AI can help solve these and derive benefits. We take a look at how these manufacturing organizations are deploying, for example, digital twins in order to gain competitive advantage as well as environmental benefits.
